[I thought on this online supplement that I would share with you one of
the letters I received, although I will withhold the name, as I have not
asked him for permission to add it. It is typical of many. I am extremely
disappointed when I go to the post office and do not get anything with
Eschatology Review on the envelope J .
Well, you judge for yourself. Thanks for bearing with us on these online,
off course, extras. God bless each of you. (– Ron McRay ~ editor ~ ) ]
Dear brother Ron,
I greet you in the blessed name of our Lord Yahshua, who has abolished
death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel – who
is even present with us now and forever.
Please say hello to my dear sister, your wife, and I pray all is well
with both of you.
I read the January 2002 issue of E.R. and I was wondering if you could
give me an address so I can order the Standard Denominational Bible.
J . Adison Martin kind of hit the nail
right square on the head, boy! To talk to some of the Christians here, I
think they just about all have those S.D. Bibles. They keep saying to me,
"Don’t you see it?" and when I say "no, my bible doesn’t say that," they
tell me "I just haven’t studied enough." And you know, they’re right. I
haven’t studied their traditional doctrines enough, and thank God I
haven’t. J .
Really liked what you said about, "we have the greatest product on earth
– God!" I agree, "we must smell like the sheep we lead and yes we must
ask them about their worry and what gets them excited?" Yes, there will
always be resistance, but doing God’s will is a great reward and honor.
Someone once said, "To know God’s word is the greatest knowledge. To find
God’s will is the greatest discovery. To do God’s will is the greatest
achievement." The word of God gives great contentment and substance, and
He speaks in His word. Paul’s heart cry in Eph. Chapter one, was, "that
God would give unto us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of him…" God has revealed a great mystery to us in Col. 1:27,
"Christ in us the hope of glory." God is love and scripture bears out the
fact that God NOW dwells in us and with us. Life is a walk; it is not a
position (I mean it’s not being a prophet, teacher, preacher, etc.). It
is a relationship of movement, growth, development, and progress. The
prime object of the creation of man, was to bring many sons unto glory
(Heb. 2:10). Jesus made a profound statement brother Ron, in Matt. 11:11.
He said, "Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of woman there
hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist; notwithstanding he that
is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." In other words,
being a son is better than being a prophet. Jesus is stressing the
quality or nature of the kingdom. He first elevated the quality of His
spokesman by sending His own Son, "Whom He has appointed heir of all
things, by whom also He made the worlds." "Who being the brightness of
his glory, and the express image of his person…" (Heb. 1:2,3).
Now in Ephesians chapter one (I can’t help it brother Ron, this is just
good old fashion food and I just have to put it on the table)
J , Paul tells us that, "According as he
hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should
be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us
unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to
the good pleasure of his will…"
Now I said all that and went off on a rabbit trail to get some of that
good old fashion Bible stew – just cannot help it. I have a good appetite
for the word of God. J . Really, brother
Ron, He has elevated us as kings and priests and to sonship, and called
us to be ambassadors for Christ’s glory and the kingdom. As you said, "We
haven’t always done a good job in preparing our people for change." Yes,
I agree, "we shouldn’t take it personally when people resist." Out job is
to know God’s word, which is the greatest knowledge, to find God’s will,
which is the greatest discovery, and to do God’s will, which is the
greatest achievement. Then as you said it so well brother Ron, "We must
live with these people and care about them, begin to smell like them, ask
them about their worry and what gets them excited."
After we have done all of this, may God grant us the grace of endurance
and patience so as not to grow weary in well doing – that we might reap
in due season. I truly think you are on the right spiritual ground and
your vision of how to accomplish this goal is coming from God. Yes, our
heavenly Father is leading you to help His people to see more clearly His
plan and purpose for our day, which is only in infancy compared to
eternity. We are beginning to walk and talk and see more clearly. Our
time is now to live what Andy Grove of Intel has said, "There is at least
one point in the history of our company (individual) when you have to
change dramatically to rise to the next performance level. Miss that
moment and you start to decline."
May our blessed Jesus continue to grace you with wisdom and a sensitive
spirit to follow His leading. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world;
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light
of life." If we can get people to see more clearly that this bridge is
built by God and his word is true, then people will begin to see and
understand Psalm 11:3. They will also become bold and "sweareth to their
own hurt, and change not (Psalm 15:4)." They will then gladly join hands
with us and cross over the bridge to the side of TRUTH! The victory has
been won by our Champion, Jesus, all we have to do is get people to help
us raise the victory banner of HIS PRESENCE! He is here with us, WOW!
In the love of Christ,
Brotherly Andy J
